Mr. Davis Goes To

Washington To Kill

Affordable

Healthcare

Artur Davis has missed half of the votes in Congress this year, yet he has made a point to go back to Washington to kill affordable healthcare.

According to govtrack.us, a public advocacy Web site, Davis has missed 45 out of 91 votes this year, and he makes a special point of returning to Washington for this vote? What is one more missed vote to Artur when he has already missed half of them?

Is out of principle? Policy? Politics?

None of those. It's because he took more than $560,000 from healthcare and insurance companies which want to kill affordable healthcare, according to Open Secrets, another public advocacy Web site.

Because when those companies bought Artur's vote he made a promise to kill healthcare. If you ever wondered what $560,000 buys you, it buys a Congressman's vote and a lifelong relationship to do what you want, when you want it.

“The fact that Artur Davis is going back to Washington to vote with the Republican party to kill a bill that would help his district should tell you something about Artur Davis,” said Commissioner Ron Sparks. “When he sells his vote he makes good on his promise. Too bad he promised to sell out the people of Alabama to big corporations. He did it with Big Oil, the credit card companies and now the healthcare and insurance companies. Is there a big corporation that can't buy Artur Davis?”
